In the morning hours of September 18, 2023, the Sulphur Springs Special Crimes Unit (SCU) and Patrol officers successfully executed the felony arrest of a local Fentanyl dealer in Sulphur Springs, Texas. The SCU had obtained felony arrest warrants and carried out the arrest on Helm Lane.
This arrest led to the issuance and execution of a Narcotics Search Warrant at the Best Western Motel. During the search of the motel room, law enforcement officials discovered a significant quantity of illegal substances and other items concealed in a hidden compartment inside a footstool.
The items seized during the search included approximately 34.6 grams of Fentanyl tablets, 7.7 grams of powdered Cocaine, 29.7 grams of Xanax pills, and a Glock 19 pistol equipped with a high-capacity magazine. In addition to the narcotics and firearm, a sum of $6,679 in U.S. currency was also recovered from the hidden compartment.
Further investigation after the arrest and during the booking process at the local jail led to the discovery of an additional 3.3 grams of suspected Fentanyl tablets (blue m30 tabs) on the female suspect.
