Hunt Regional Healthcare, comprising various facilities and services such as Hunt Regional Medical Center, standalone ERs in Commerce and Quinlan, Urgent Care Greenville, Family Medicine Greenville, outpatient physical therapy centers, Open Imaging in Greenville and Rockwall, and Hunt Regional Home Care, underwent a thorough four-day survey in April 2023. The accreditation notification was officially received in July, with the accreditation date noted as April 6, 2023, aligning with the completion of the survey.
Deborah Ryan, MS, RN, interim executive vice president of Accreditation and Certification Operations at The Joint Commission, commended Hunt Regional for its dedication to advancing safety and quality in patient care, stating, "As a health care accreditor, The Joint Commission works with health care organizations across settings to help improve patient safety and quality of care through our expert resources and tools, innovative solutions, and rigorous standards."
Brandi Isham, Vice President of Quality at Hunt Regional Healthcare, reported, "Our TJC survey went very smoothly. There were six surveyors onsite during the course of the four-day survey to evaluate our overall safety practices throughout the organization. They were all very impressed by the processes that we have in place and the overall preparedness of the organization. They complemented the knowledge base of our staff and the excellent care that they provide to patients."
