Annual Lee Street Jamboree in Downtown Greenville Returns Sept 15

The annual Lee Street Jamboree will be held in downtown Greenville on Friday, September 15, beginning at 6:30 p.m. This year’s event will be a free outdoor concert that is open to the public. Sponsor tables with reserved seating close to the stage are available. For more information on sponsor tables, please contact the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) at (903) 457-3126 or by emailing cvb@ci.greenville.tx.us.

Opening the concert at 6:30 p.m. is local musician Graycie York and her band. Born and raised in Rockwall, Texas, Texas country singer/songwriter Graycie York always knew she wanted to sing. When she was twelve, she was gifted her first guitar from her grandparents and shortly after, taught herself to play it. For a while, Graycie was only singing at home or in talent shows and you would only ever find her pickin’ a guitar or playing a piano. She wrote her song ‘Patsy Kind of Night’ in April 2019 and then released it as her first single on March 5, 2020. She then released her second single ‘Forever’ two months later. Her debut EP ‘Words to Say’ is available everywhere now.

At 8:00 p.m., the Grammy-nominated duo Thompson Square takes the stage. It’s been a decade since the husband-and-wife team of Keifer and Shawna Thompson exploded out of Nashville with their multi-platinum mega-hit ‘Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not,’ and crowds remain hungry for more. Thompson Square has toured the world, won multiple ACM, ACA, CMA, and CMT awards, appeared on the Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, NBC’s TODAY Show, and CBS This Morning as well as numerous primetime TV specials and awards shows, earned No. 1 records in three countries, and even launched their own podcast. They’ve been praised as “remarkable” by Taste of Country, “deeply personal and emotional” by Sounds Like Nashville, and “vivacious” by Rolling Stone.

From the moment Keifer and Shawna met, playing a game of pool after a show during their first week in Nashville, there has been nothing but electricity coming from Thompson Square. As much as the duo has constantly evolved, in many ways, they’re the same as they’ve ever been. “We’re best friends, and that’s it,” Shawna says,” God just blessed us with each other. We love making music, and to be able to do it together is extra special.” Now, Thompson Square is coming to downtown Greenville to make new memories at the Lee Street Jamboree.
