Man Arrested for Assaulting Officer After Lamar Avenue in Paris Trespassing Incident

On Monday, April 28th, Paris Police officers responded to a report of Criminal Trespassing in the 3700 block of Lamar Avenue. Upon arrival, they learned that a suspect had caused a disturbance and damaged a door at a retail business before leaving the scene.

Officers located an individual matching the suspect's description in the 3500 block of NE Loop 286 and made contact with Tanavionne Marcell Robertson, 32. Robertson was identified via video as the suspect involved in the trespassing and property damage.

During questioning, Robertson allegedly became agitated and threatened the officer. He then physically struck the officer with his fist. Officers subsequently took Robertson to the ground and handcuffed him. His aggressive behavior continued during the booking process, where he reportedly attempted to assault the officer again while being placed in jail.

As a result of his actions, Tanavionne Marcell Robertson was charged with the Assault of a Peace Officer, a felony offense.
