On Thursday, April 24, 2025, a jury found Walter Wayne Hall, 31, of Hawkins, Texas, guilty of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, namely Methamphetamine, in an amount of four or more grams but less than 200 grams. The jury sentenced Hall to 35 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division, and assessed a fine of $5,000.
Evidence presented by the State during the two-day trial showed that on March 14, 2024, Hall was recorded on video selling methamphetamine to a confidential informant. The State presented ten witnesses, while the defense presented two.
The case was presided over by 115th District Judge Dean Fowler, and the State was represented by First Assistant Criminal District Attorney Barry Wallace.
