Micah Holmes, who was 16 years old at the time of the crime, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for the 2023 shooting death of 38-year-old Kendrick Antwan Roquemore in Texarkana.
On September 29, 2023, Texarkana Arkansas Police Department (TAPD) responded to a shooting on E. 15th Street where they found Kendrick Roquemore deceased from a single gunshot wound. Holmes was found inside the residence and taken into custody for murder.
On April 22, 2025, Holmes accepted a plea agreement before 8th Circuit Judge Carlton Jones, receiving a 25-year prison sentence. He was tried as an adult in this case.
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department and the Miller County Prosecutor's Office were commended for their collaborative efforts in bringing Holmes to justice.
