Two people died in a car accident that occurred last Friday on U.S. Highway 259 in DeKalb (Bowie County).
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened around 10:08 a.m. Forty-five-year-old Andrea Webber was driving a Saturn SUV southbound and was turning left into a business when his vehicle was struck by a northbound 2020 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup.
Webber and his passenger, 53-year-old Connie Cary, were both killed in the collision.
Authorities reported that others involved in the accident sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital for treatment. The Texas DPS is currently investigating the circumstances of the crash, and no further details have been released at this time.
