Wood County Man Sentenced to 25 Years for Drug Trafficking

Judd Paul Pippins

Judd Paul Pippins has pleaded guilty to multiple first-degree drug manufacture/delivery charges and been sentenced to 25 years in prison, along with a $5,000 fine. The plea agreement also included acknowledgements of guilt for delivery of marijuana, criminal trespass, and theft of property.

Pippins, who has a substantial criminal history in Wood County, was apprehended on June 19, 2024, by a Mineola police officer who recognized him driving within city limits despite an active warrant. A subsequent search of Pippins’ vehicle yielded over six grams of methamphetamine, 90 hydrocodone pills, more than an ounce of marijuana, 15 small baggies, and 10 unused syringes.

Wood County Criminal District Attorney Angela Albers emphasized Pippins’ history of drug dealing, stating, “Yet again, he was trying to circulate drugs in Wood County, putting our community at risk. I am pleased we were able to resolve this case and get another drug dealer off Wood County’s streets. Wood County is a much safer place with the defendant behind bars.”
