Paris Police officers arrested Johnny Rudolph Villines, Jr., 33, on Sunday, April 6th, following a disturbance call in the 2600 block of Lamar Avenue. Villines was charged with Assault by Impeding Breath to a Family Member, a felony offense.
According to police, the 37-year-old female victim reported that Villines had choked and attempted to smother her. Officers observed physical evidence at the scene that corroborated the victim's account of the assault.
Villines was taken into custody without incident. His bond has been set at $5,000. The victim also requested an Emergency Protective Order following the alleged assault.
