Greenville ISD’s Early College High School (ECHS) is set to welcome its largest freshman class in history for the 2025-2026 school year, following an unprecedented number of applications. Since the program's launch in 2018, interest has steadily grown, reaching new heights this year.
ECHS offers students the opportunity to earn an associate degree from Paris Junior College while completing their high school diploma at no cost to families. The program features two specialized pathways—Engineering and Allied Health—designed to prepare students for careers in high-demand fields.
With enrollment now exceeding 200 students, the program has expanded significantly from its original cohort of 24. For the upcoming school year, 38 students will join the Engineering pathway, while 41 students will enter the Allied Health pathway.
“ECHS is an incredible opportunity for our students. It challenges them, grows them, and sets them up for success,” said Dr. Rebekah Russler, Chancellor of Greenville Early College High School. “We are thrilled to continue to expand the program and welcome so many eager students next year.”
The program’s mission focuses on equipping students with the skills needed to LEAD, ACHIEVE, and SUCCEED. ECHS aims for each graduate to earn a high school diploma and an associate degree, paving the way for continued education and career success.
