The City of Greenville has provided the following updates.
Public Works & Engineering
Contractors continued street construction on Ablowich Drive this week, completing the main roadway. Crews have begun forming sidewalks from Sayle Street to Monty Stratton, though weather conditions may delay further progress.
W. Walworth Harrison Public Library
On March 22, patrons participated in STEAM Saturday, constructing bridges. Upcoming events include:

Parks and Recreation

Park Maintenance – Soccer and baseball fields have been repainted, and restroom facilities have been improved.

Recreation – Registration is open for the 8 Ball Shootout doubles pool tournament. Homeschool PE is now enrolling, while the first tennis class is underway.

Golf – Irrigation system repairs are ongoing. The Tuesday Scramble and Thursday Shamble events continue to see high participation at Wright Park Municipal Golf Course.

Easter Eggstravaganza – April 17 from 5-7 p.m., featuring 30,000 eggs, a kid zone, food trucks, vendors, and a coloring contest.

Sports
Youth baseball and softball practices are ongoing. Adult Kickball registration is still open, and the Parks Department is hiring umpires for the upcoming season.
