Ryan Moreland, 21, has been arrested after shooting a 31-year-old man during a disturbance at a residence on Golden Sands.
On March 30, 2025, at approximately 12:50 a.m., the Collin County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a disturbance at 222 Golden Sands in Princeton, TX. A female caller reported a verbal altercation with a 31-year-old male while in a vehicle. She exited the vehicle and entered the residence.
The male then returned to the residence and stood in the public easement area, attempting to communicate with the female via phone.
Ryan Moreland, a resident of 222 Golden Sands, came outside and brandished a firearm. A verbal altercation ensued between Moreland and the 31-year-old male, during which Moreland shot the victim in the chest.
Princeton Police officers arrived at the scene, secured the area, and provided aid to the gunshot victim. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, and their current condition is unknown. The firearm was recovered from a nearby lawn.
Ryan Moreland was taken into custody by the Princeton Police Department. The relationship between the female and Ryan Moreland has not been released.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
