Two Arrested for Burglary and Drug Possession at Vacant Paris Building

Paris Police arrested two suspects Monday after discovering them hiding on the fifth floor of an unoccupied building at 820 Clarksville St., where they were stealing building materials.

Officers identified the suspects as Phillip Aaron Pullins, 49, and Starla Larie Queen, 42. Both had outstanding warrants and were taken into custody.

Investigators determined that Pullins and Queen were stealing aluminum, bronze, copper, and brass valued at over $20,000, leading to felony charges of Theft of Material and Burglary of a Building.

A search of Pullins’s backpack revealed methamphetamine, heroin, and assorted hand tools suspected of being used in the crime. Additional charges against Pullins included Possession of a Controlled Substance – Heroin, Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine, and Unlawful Use of a Criminal Instrument.

Both suspects also face Criminal Trespassing charges. Officers booked them into the Lamar County Jail without incident.
