Timothy Henson, of Edgewood, Texas, was arrested on March 17, 2025, for Possession of a Controlled Substance after a traffic stop conducted by the Van Zandt County Sheriff's Office Criminal Interdiction Team.
A deputy observed a vehicle committing multiple moving violations and initiated a traffic stop. During the stop, the deputy noted indicators suggesting the vehicle's occupants were concealing illegal substances.
A K9 unit from the Wills Point Police Department was called to the scene and alerted to the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search of the vehicle and occupants resulted in the discovery of suspected methamphetamine on Henson.
Henson was booked into the Van Zandt County Detention Center on a second-degree felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance (POSS CS PG 1 >=4G<200G).
Sheriff Bridger emphasized the collaborative efforts between the Criminal Interdiction Team and neighboring agencies in combating illegal narcotics within the county.
