On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, the Terrell Criminal Investigations Division (CID), along with the Terrell SWAT Team, executed a search warrant in the 1000 block of Mineral Wells Street in Terrell, Texas. The warrant was issued in connection with an ongoing aggravated robbery investigation.
During the search, officers arrested Cristian Leyva-Uriostegui, a 17-year-old male, and a 15-year-old juvenile, both from Terrell. Authorities discovered a stolen shotgun reported out of Van Zandt County, two handguns, approximately 1,000 grams of THC vapes, and several thousand dollars in cash.
Cristian Leyva-Uriostegui was charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 2, 4 Grams to less than 400 Grams.
The juvenile was charged with Aggravated Robbery and Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 2, 4 Grams to less than 400 Grams.
