On March 15, 2025, at approximately 4:39 p.m., Wylie Police and Wylie Fire Rescue responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 2500 block of State Highway 78.
According to reports, a black Hyundai Genesis traveling northbound crossed the center divider and struck a black Chevrolet Colorado traveling southbound, causing the truck to overturn. A silver Toyota Corolla, also traveling southbound, was struck during the collision and veered into a ditch.
The driver of the Hyundai, identified as Stephen Lugo of Garland, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Wylie Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team is continuing to investigate the crash.
