Jose Garcia Rivera, 37, was arrested on March 14, 2025, on charges of Sexual Assault of a Child.
Titus County Sheriff's Deputies received a report of the alleged assault on Friday evening. The report indicated that the suspect was in the country illegally and posed a flight risk.
Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Garcia Rivera after establishing probable cause.
Deputies searched Garcia Rivera's residence and, after an initial search, Investigator Rendy Barrett discovered him hiding under a sheet of plywood in a pile of scrap lumber.
Garcia Rivera was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Titus County Jail, where he will await arraignment.
