Miles Todd Perez was arrested on March 7, 2025, by Prosper Police Department officers after allegedly burglarizing a residence and stealing a computer.
At the time of the offense, Perez was restricted from the residence due to bond conditions following a 2024 arrest for possession of child pornography, which was also investigated by the Prosper Police Department.
Perez was taken into custody and charged with Burglary of a Habitation, Stalking, and Tampering with a GPS Ankle Monitor. He was booked into the Denton County Jail.
Following his release on bond, a follow-up investigation by Prosper detectives determined that Perez had downloaded additional pornographic images of minors during the brief period he had possession of the stolen computer. This led to his re-arrest on March 12, 2025, and an additional charge of Possession of Child Pornography involving more than 100 but fewer than 500 images, a second-degree felony.
On March 13, 2025, Perez was arraigned with a bond set at $1 million by Denton County authorities. The investigation remains ongoing.
