A fatal shooting occurred at a Family Dollar store in Maud, TX on Saturday night, resulting in the death of an employee. The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at 424 Broadway Ave. around 8:00 PM after receiving a report of an armed robbery.
Upon arrival, deputies learned that Denyle Pierce, 47, was shot during the robbery. Pierce was working at the store when 27-year-old Keyshawn Deiron Wickware allegedly entered and attempted to rob the establishment. During the incident, Wickware reportedly shot Pierce, leading to his death.
Wickware was arrested and charged with Capital Murder. His bond has been set at $1.5 million. The investigation remains ongoing.
