Michael Shawn Conlon, 44, of Royse City, was arrested on March 6, 2025, after a search warrant was executed at his residence in the 1300 block of Black Canyon Avenue.
The Royse City Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Detectives, along with ICAC Detectives from the Rockwall Police Department and Dallas Police Department, conducted the operation related to a Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) investigation.
The investigation was initiated through a joint undercover operation between the Royse City and Rockwall Police Department ICAC units. During the search, detectives seized multiple electronic devices believed to contain over 11,000 digital images of child pornography.
Conlon was arrested and transported to the Rockwall County Detention Center. He has been charged with Possession of Child Pornography, a First-Degree Felony, and a bond of $500,000 has been set.
The Royse City Police Department and its law enforcement partners in the North Texas Internet Crimes Against Children’s Taskforce reiterate their commitment to protecting children.
