On Monday, March 3, 2025, at approximately 6:25 p.m., multiple emergency agencies responded to a two-vehicle crash on FM 1827 (New Hope Road) near County Road 409, north of Princeton. According to DPS Troopers, a 26-year-old woman was traveling westbound on FM 1827 when she failed to navigate a right-hand curve, veering into the eastbound lane and colliding head-on with an SUV.
The 64-year-old driver and 78-year-old passenger of the SUV were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries. Her condition has not been released.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
