Five Arrested in Major East Texas Drug Bust; Cocaine, Meth, THC Seized

On February 28, 2025, a controlled substance investigation by the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office led to the arrest of five individuals and the seizure of multiple illegal substances. Deputies executed a search warrant at the Woodlawn Hills Hotel, located on US Hwy 79 in Henderson, Texas, resulting in the discovery of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, concentrated THC, and a firearm.

Cameron Elizabeth Horn, 23, of Henderson, Texas, was arrested after being found in possession of 39 individual packages of suspected cocaine and a firearm. Horn was charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1, a first-degree felony. His bond was set at $65,500.

Tamara Lynn Simon, 44, also from Henderson, was arrested and found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. She was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1, a State Jail Felony, with a bond set at $10,000.

Two other individuals, Jayme Shawn Hogan, 20, and Aaron Blake Yelverton, 22, both from Gary, Texas, were arrested after being found in possession of suspected concentrated THC. They were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2, a State Jail Felony, and each received bonds of $10,000.

Harold Demetri Holman, 31, of Longview, Texas, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Possession of Marijuana out of Rusk County. Holman’s bond was set at $1,000.

The search warrant was issued by Rusk County Court at Law Judge Chad Dean, and bonds were set by Justice of the Peace Precinct 5 Judge Jana Enloe. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities anticipate further arrests as they continue their work.
