A Titus County grand jury has indicted former City Manager Ed Thatcher, Mayor Tracy Craig, Council Member Sherri Spruill, and former City Council Members Galen Adams and Henry Chappell on Monday, February 24, 2025.
The indictments stem from an investigation by the Texas Rangers into travel reimbursements issued to Mount Pleasant City Council members.
The City of Mount Pleasant stated that it fully cooperated with the Texas Rangers during the investigation. However, due to the ongoing legal matter, the city is unable to provide further comment.
