On February 17, 2025, the Hunt County Sheriff's Office executed multiple narcotics operations in South Hunt County, Texas, leading to significant drug and firearm seizures.
Investigators focused on an RV within the Lone Star RV Park at 8755 FM 751 in Quinlan, suspecting it as a hub for illegal methamphetamine distribution. The primary suspects, Donavon Lashawn Hampton and Kimberlynn Marie Reddick, were believed to be orchestrating drug sales from this location. Reports indicated that Reddick owned several RVs in the park, renting them to street-level dealers and supplying them with methamphetamine.
Around 8:30 p.m., Hampton was detained upon exiting the targeted RV. He was found carrying a pistol and approximately 294 grams of methamphetamine. A subsequent search of the RV uncovered an additional 5 grams of methamphetamine and four firearms, including a sawed-off shotgun with a 12-inch barrel.
A second operation in the 9600 block of Lakeland Loop in Quinlan resulted in the seizure of approximately 350 grams of methamphetamine and a shotgun.
Hampton faces multiple charges: Manufacturing or Delivery of a Controlled Substance (200-400 grams), five counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon due to the sawed-off shotgun. He is currently held in the Hunt County Jail with bonds totaling $520,000.
The investigation is ongoing. Authorities urge anyone with information about narcotics distribution to contact the Hunt County Sheriff's Office at (903) 453-6833.
