Hunt County deputies arrested 35-year-old Carla Michelle Rusheon of Edgewood on Tuesday, February 18th, on a charge of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.
The arrest followed a call to a residence in Edgewood regarding an accusation of child abuse.
Rusheon, described as a white female, 5'5" and 120 lbs, was taken into custody. Her bond was set at $200,000, and she posted bail on February 19th.
Due to the sensitive nature of the investigation and to protect the victim, no further details about the case are being released.
Court records indicate that divorce proceedings between Rusheon and her spouse began in April 2022 and are ongoing, with a trial date set for March 6, 2025. They have at least one child.
