A man and woman were arrested after deputies discovered malnourished dogs in their yard, including one with a collar embedded in its flesh, according to the Trinity County Sheriff's Office.
Deputy Prestwood responded to a complaint about neglected animals and found three dogs on the property, two of which appeared malnourished. Upon closer inspection, authorities determined that one of the dogs had a collar deeply embedded into its neck, confirming a case of animal abuse.
Timothy Wade Hall and Erika Leanne Hall were taken into custody at 9:03 p.m. on February 18, 2025. They were arrested on a Trinity County Sheriff's Office warrant for Cruelty to Animals (Warrant 250080).
The investigation is ongoing.
