On February 12, 2025, at approximately 5:41 p.m., Delta County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a wanted man at a residence in the 100 block of Northwest Fourth Street.
Deputies took 37-year-old Williams Schwartz of Cooper into custody on five outstanding warrants related to an investigation initiated through a Child Protective Services case. Schwartz is charged with one third-degree felony count of Injury to a Child/Elderly/Disabled with Intent to Cause Injury and four Class A misdemeanor counts of Terroristic Threat Causing Fear of Imminent Bodily Injury.
Schwartz is being held at the Delta County Sheriff’s Office on a total bond of $50,000.
The Delta County Sheriff’s Office acknowledged the assistance of multiple law enforcement agencies in the investigation and arrest.
