On Saturday, February 15, 2025, just before 10 p.m., Rockwall Police Department officers responded to a call regarding a person experiencing a mental health crisis in the Harbor District.
Upon arrival, officers located the individual and took measures to ensure public safety. After a brief interaction, the subject was safely taken into custody without incident.
During the response, several witnesses mistakenly believed an active threat situation was occurring, with reports of shots fired. However, Rockwall police confirmed that no shots were fired by any individual, and no injuries occurred.
The Rockwall Police Department maintains a presence in the Harbor District, assigning four officers every Friday and Saturday night to deter and respond to any issues.
