The Commerce Police Department is investigating a scam in which Good Donuts located at 800 Culver St. and several customers fell victim to a digital attack on or around February 3.
According to authorities, attackers compromised the business’s router and internet connection, then conducted a series of large transactions that withdrew funds from the owner and some customers. Good Donuts has surrendered the router as part of the investigation and is currently operating on a cash-only basis while securing new equipment and service.
Commerce PD is urging recent customers of Good Donuts to check their financial accounts for any suspicious activity and report any unauthorized transactions.
The investigation remains active, and no further comments will be provided at this time.
