The Waco Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on the evening of February 5, 2025. Officers responded to the area of Ozark and Howard at approximately 7:15 p.m. and located a 34-year-old male with a gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
A suspect has not been located, but detectives believe the incident was isolated. The investigation remains ongoing.
Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 254-753-HELP (4357). Tips can also be submitted online at wacocrimestoppers.org or through the P3 Tips mobile app. A reward of up to $2,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
This marks Waco’s first homicide investigation of 2025 and the first in seven months.
