A man is in custody following a domestic violence investigation that led to multiple felony charges in Titus County.
On the morning of February 2, 2025, Titus County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of domestic violence in the 800 block of County Road 1030. By the time deputies arrived, the suspect had already left the scene. Following an initial investigation, authorities obtained arrest warrants for 30-year-old Jose Luis Gardea on several charges.
Gardea was taken into custody and remains in the Titus County Jail on the following charges:
- Burglary of Habitation with Intent to Commit Felony Other than Theft – First-Degree Felony
- Continuous Violence Against a Family Member – Third-Degree Felony
- Robbery – Second-Degree Felony
- Violation of a Protective Order – Class A Misdemeanor
- Burglary of a Vehicle – Class A Misdemeanor
The investigation remains ongoing.
