On Tuesday, February 4, 2025, the Kilgore Police Department, in coordination with the Gregg County Organized Drug Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at an apartment on the corner of Martin and Houston Street. The operation targeted a male suspect accused of selling drugs in Kilgore and surrounding areas.
During the raid, officers seized:
- 643 grams of methamphetamine
- 27.2 pounds of marijuana
- 7 grams of psilocybin
- 10 grams of trazodone
- 241 grams of an unidentified white powder (pending further testing)
- Multiple firearms, including a Glock 23, Mini Drako (AK variant), Drako (AK variant), and an SKS rifle
- Ammunition and two bulletproof vests
Alston Antwone Lee was arrested and charged with manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of dangerous drugs. Weapons charges are pending. His bond was set at $235,000.
Kilgore police emphasized the dangers of armed drug dealers near residential areas and stated their intent to refer the case to federal authorities for prosecution. The investigation remains ongoing.
