On Saturday, February 1, 2025, the Paris Police Department responded to a criminal trespass complaint in the 800 block of NE Loop 286. Upon investigation, officers determined that Amber Nicole Beck, 42, of Paris, had intentionally turned off the power to a building housing a dialysis center.
Camera footage showed Beck in the vicinity of the building’s power switches outside. At the time of the power interruption, the dialysis center was actively treating eleven patients, including at least one individual over the age of 65. The power outage caused a delay and disruption to their treatments.
Beck was arrested and charged with Endangering a Child/Elderly/Disabled Individual, a felony. The investigation is ongoing.
