On Monday, February 3, 2025, Terrell police responded to a welfare check in the 1200 block of W. Moore, where a man was reportedly standing in the middle of the street, nearly being struck by passing vehicles.
Officers made contact with the individual, identified him, and discovered he had multiple outstanding warrants. As officers attempted to detain him, he resisted, injuring one officer before fleeing on foot. Williams then barricaded himself inside his residence in the 200 block of Allen Street.
After approximately four hours of negotiations, officers entered the residence and took 30-year-old Tamain Williams into custody. He was transported to the Terrell Municipal Jail without further incident.
