On January 30, 2025, 34-year-old Clint Euel Nelson of Graford, Palo Pinto County, TX, was found guilty of Intoxication Manslaughter with Vehicle in the 354th District Court of Hunt County. Nelson was sentenced to 20 years in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) prison.
The conviction stems from a February 19, 2023, car crash caused by a drunk Nelson, which resulted in a fatality. He was arrested on April 5, 2023, in connection with the incident.
UPDATE: Post updated on February 6th to clarify that the sentence was a prison term and not supervised probation as previously reported. The Hunt County District Attorney's Office confirmed the sentence.
