On January 28, 2025, the Henderson County Sheriff's Office arrested Paul Gonzalez on charges of Injury to a Child, a first-degree felony.
The investigation began on January 23rd when Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth contacted the Sheriff's Office regarding potential child abuse. The Henderson County Crimes Against Children's Task Force launched an investigation and determined that Gonzalez had caused injuries to his infant child.
An arrest warrant was issued for Gonzalez on January 30th by Henderson County 392nd Judicial District Judge Scott McKee. Gonzalez was arrested in Fort Worth and transported to the Henderson County Jail.
On January 31st, Justice of the Peace Precinct 5 Tanya Norris arraigned Gonzalez and set his bail at $500,000.
