40-year-old Montana Lee Schneider of Reno, TX (Lamar County), pleaded guilty to 81 counts of crimes against children in Lamar County District Court.
Schneider, charged with child sexual abuse, possession of child pornography, and producing child pornography, was sentenced to life in prison for two first-degree felony counts, with an additional 910 years for the remaining 79 counts. The sentences will be served consecutively. Schneider was also fined $10,000 for each count.
Schneider was captured by the Buda Police Department in March 2024.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Benjamin I. Kaminar and Erin Lewis, with Schneider represented by Court Appointed Attorney Clay Johnson of Sulphur Springs. The trial was presided over by 6th District Judge Wes Tidwell.
