On January 27, 2025, at approximately 6:00 PM, Henderson County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Investigators Jonathan Daille, Jonathan Barrios, and Brad Beddingfield, along with other investigators, K-9 units, and deputies, executed a narcotics search warrant on Tanglewood Drive in the Gun Barrel City area of Henderson County. The search warrant was issued by 392nd Judicial District Judge Scott McKee.
During the search, investigators located a quantity of methamphetamine inside the residence, packaged for distribution, along with several baggies and scales. Deputies also found several pre-loaded syringes filled with liquid methamphetamine, ready for sale.
Following the investigation, two individuals were taken into custody:
- Melissa Leigh Lenox, 64, of Gun Barrel City – Charged with Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1-B between 4 and 200 grams. Bond set at $100,000.
- John Joseph Stuart, 48, of Gun Barrel City – Charged with Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1-B between 4 and 200 grams. Bond set at $50,000.
Both suspects were transported to the Henderson County Jail and booked without incident.
