Fort Worth Trio Charged with Burglary and Organized Crime in Van Zandt County

On January 26, 2025, deputies with the Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office arrested three suspects involved in an overnight burglary at a feed store located on State Highway 243 in Van Zandt County. The arrests were the result of cooperation between multiple law enforcement agencies, including Canton Police Department, Kaufman County Sheriff's Office, and Kaufman PD.

At approximately 3 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the scene of the burglary. While investigating, they were informed that Kaufman County deputies and Kaufman PD officers had stopped a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle in Kaufman. A Van Zandt County deputy responded to the area and was able to identify three suspects using video footage from the crime scene.

Sheriff Bridger commended the joint efforts of all agencies involved, stating, "Our deputies along with our partner agencies are committed to the citizens and businesses of Van Zandt County. We appreciate our Deputies and all the assisting agency’s efforts, making these arrests possible."

The suspects, identified as 35-year-old Corwin Lee Brown, 35-year-old Charles Timothy Brown, and 38-year-old Keithsolis Ladon Brown, all of Fort Worth, Texas, have been charged with Burglary of a Building and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. They are presumed innocent until proven guilty.  Their bond has been set at $80,000 for each arrestee.
