On Saturday, January 25, 2025, a Harrison County deputy observed a vehicle traveling nearly 40 mph over the posted speed limit. The deputy, with assistance from Hallsville Police, initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle.
During the stop, it was discovered that the driver was experiencing a medical emergency and was attempting to reach the hospital for treatment.
Law enforcement immediately acted to ensure the safety of the individual and others on the road, providing the driver with a ride to the hospital. The individual was able to receive the necessary medical treatment thanks to the swift response of all officers involved.
The person involved is expected to make a full recovery.
