Victim: Roderick "Rod" Jackson
On Thursday, December 19, 2024, Greenville Police officers arrested 29-year-old Dalton Anthony Marcum of Campbell, who was wanted for Murder by the Delta County Sheriff's Office. Marcum was located and taken into custody without incident. His bond has been set at $750,000, and he is currently being held in the Hunt County Detention Center.
The charges against Marcum stem from the discovery of the body of 28-year-old Roderick LaTarrince Jackson. Jackson had been reported missing on January 6, 2024, after last being seen at Graham Park in Greenville. On March 2, 2024, Jackson's body was found in the middle Sulphur River Creek off FM 1531 in Delta County.
The investigation is ongoing.
