Bobby Lee Sims, a 46-year-old registered sex offender, was arrested by the Terrell Police Department on December 12, 2024, on charges of indecent exposure with two or more previous convictions, as well as failure to identify himself to law enforcement. The incident, which occurred on December 11, led to Sims' arrest after officers responded to reports of the offense.
Sims is currently being held at Kaufman County Jail with a $25,000 bond. Further information regarding his court dates will be provided as available.
This arrest follows a similar case earlier this year. On January 9, 2024, Irving Police Officers responded to an indecent exposure report, and upon locating Sims, he fled on foot, leading to a brief pursuit. Sims was apprehended after a physical struggle and booked into the Irving Jail. During that arrest, Sims faced multiple charges, including indecent exposure, evading arrest, and resisting arrest.
Sims has a history of convictions, including a 2011 conviction for Indecency With A Child By Exposure, for which he served a six-year prison sentence. He is currently listed as a High-Risk Level offender on the Texas Public Sex Offender Website.
