Titus County Sheriff's Office investigators, acting on tips received from social media posts, arrested 40-year-old Kerry Moreno of Mount Pleasant on Thursday, December 5, 2024, in connection with a vandalism incident. The offense occurred in the early hours of November 27, 2024, at a commercial building located on the 2400 Block of FM 2348 N. in Titus County.
The Sheriff's Office had posted information about the case on social media on December 4th, leading to numerous tips from citizens. These tips provided investigators with crucial information, ultimately allowing them to establish probable cause that Moreno was responsible for the damage.
Moreno was arrested for Criminal Mischief, a State Jail Felony, for causing damages between $2,500 and $30,000. He was taken into custody and is facing charges related to the destruction of the commercial property.
