On December 4, 2024, at approximately 11:49 AM, Longview Police Officers responded to a multi-vehicle crash in the 5100 Block of West Loop 281.
According to the investigation, a silver SUV failed to yield the right of way while exiting a private drive and was struck by another vehicle. The collision caused the SUV to veer into oncoming traffic, where it was subsequently struck by a dump truck.
The driver of the silver SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. Another individual involved in the crash was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries by Longview Fire / EMS.
The incident is under investigation by the Longview Police Department.
