Thousands of Officers and Agencies Honor Greenville Officer Cooper Dawson at Funeral

The Greenville Police Department announced yesterday that over a thousand law enforcement officers, along with representatives from multiple agencies, came together to escort Officer Cooper Dawson to his final resting place. Officer Dawson, a member of the Greenville Police Department, was honored with a dignified procession, reflecting the outpouring of support from both local and national law enforcement communities.

The funeral service was attended by numerous police departments, sheriff's offices, and fire and emergency services from across Texas and beyond. Participating agencies included Allen, Arlington, Bonham, Bullard, Dallas, Denton, Fort Worth, Garland, Grand Prairie, Frisco, Greenville, Irving, Plano, Rockwall, Rowlett, and many more.

In addition to Texas agencies, law enforcement from outside the state, such as Boston PD, Chicago PD, and NYPD, also paid their respects. A number of fire departments and EMS services, including Hunt County EMS and Greenville Fire Department, were also present. Federal and military personnel, including the FBI, U.S. Army, and U.S. Marine Corps, showed their solidarity, further highlighting the depth of respect for Officer Dawson.

The event also featured participation from several state agencies, including Texas DPS, DART, and the University of Texas PD, demonstrating the broad network of support for Officer Dawson and his family.
