On Tuesday night, December 3rd, two men were arrested following a manhunt involving the Greenville Police and Hunt County deputies. The pursuit began when one of the men fled from police during a traffic stop. While fleeing, he attempted to discard drugs, which were later recovered from the ground. The search for the suspect continued in the Economy Inn area on Moulton Street.
A K9 unit was deployed, and the suspects were located and apprehended. Chadwick Jaquaine Anderson, of Sulphur Springs, was arrested and charged with Evading Arrest Detention. He has a history of arrests in Greenville for similar charges, including Evading Arrest and a Probation Violation for a Narcotics conviction.
Treyvon Deair Hicks, of Greenville, was also arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (PG1/1-B) between 1 and 4 grams and Evading Arrest Detention. Hicks, a convicted felon, has several prior arrests for Aggravated Assault, Evading Arrest, and drug dealing. Both men were booked into the Hunt County Detention Center.
