On December 4, 2024, at approximately 6:38 AM, Wylie Police, Wylie Fire and Rescue, and the Parker Fire Department responded to a major accident at the intersection of Parker Road and Elaine.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered a black Jetta wedged under the trailer of an 18-wheeler. The driver of the Jetta was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Preliminary findings indicate the crash involved the Jetta and the 18-wheeler. The identity of the deceased driver is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Wylie Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team.
