On Friday night, November 29, 2024, a Harrison County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on FM 2199 after observing a vehicle with defective equipment. The driver, identified as 50-year-old Crystal Danielle Mattingly of Hallsville, Texas, displayed signs of nervous behavior during the stop.
After obtaining consent to search the vehicle, the deputy discovered 6 grams of suspected methamphetamine and 0.2 ounces of suspected marijuana. Mattingly was arrested and transported to the Harrison County Main Jail.
She has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1/1-B (greater than or equal to 4 grams but less than 200 grams) and Possession of Marijuana (less than 2 ounces). Her bond was set at $52,000.
