On Saturday at 5:29 PM, the Honey Grove Police Department requested assistance from Paris Police to locate a juvenile female reported as a runaway by her father.
A Paris officer responded to the 1400 block of Neathery Street, where he contacted relatives of the runaway. The juvenile was located and transported to the Paris Police Department. During the transport, she made statements alleging mistreatment at her home in Fannin County.
The Paris officer facilitated communication between the runaway’s father and the Honey Grove Police Department using his department-issued phone. Upon arrival at the Paris Police Department, the juvenile was released to her father, who had been waiting for her return.
The allegations of mistreatment are expected to be further investigated by the appropriate authorities.
