Lamar County Deputies arrested 51-year-old Christipher Lakent Burns of Paris on Saturday, November 16, 2024, on a warrant for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. The warrant, issued by JP5-1, stemmed from an incident that occurred on October 1, 2023. Burns' bond has been set at $100,000.
On the same day, deputies also arrested 30-year-old Jacob Robert Copeland of Clarksville on a separate warrant for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. This offense occurred on November 1, 2015, and Copeland was released after posting a $100,000 bond.
